Question / Issue

May I create two orders of $1600 each to obtain an office furniture grouping that costs $3,200 so that I can use my ProCard?

Answer / Solution

No.  This is called order-splitting, which is, splitting the purchase in order to avoid the delegated limit of $3,000.  Order-splitting is a violation of university policy and is considered an abuse of cardholder privileges. The intended purchase must be combined into one purchase order and requisitioned through the Purchasing Department.
